Privacy policy

Last updated: [30/09/2026]

This policy explains how Davimac Trading Pty Ltd (ABN 56 144 945 915), trading as Davimac ("we", "us" and "our"), handles personal information. It covers our website davimac.com.au, including our online quote builder and online store, and enquiries made to us by phone, email, in person or through our dealers. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you build a quote or make an enquiry, we collect:

  • your name, email address, mobile number and postcode;
  • if you're a dealer, your dealership name and, if you send a quote to your customer, their name and email address;
  • your answers to our questions, such as how you heard about us and when you need the machine;
  • the machine and options you choose, and any notes you add.

When you buy from our online store, we collect your name, delivery address, email address, phone number and order details.

When you visit our website, we automatically collect your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page you came from and any campaign links you followed. Some of this is collected through cookies (see "Cookies and tracking").

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you, when you use our website, call or email us, or speak with us in person. If a dealer requests a quote on your behalf, we may collect your name and email address from the dealer. We also collect some information automatically when you visit our website.

How we use it

We use your personal information to:

  • prepare your quote and email it to you;
  • contact you about your enquiry or quote by phone, email or SMS;
  • process, deliver and support your orders;
  • keep a record of your enquiries, quotes and purchases in our customer system, so our sales team can follow up and look after you over time;
  • pass your enquiry to an authorised Davimac dealer when they're best placed to help you;
  • understand how people use our website, and improve it and our advertising;
  • meet our legal obligations.

We only send you product news and offers if you've asked for them, for example by ticking the box when you build a quote, or where the law otherwise allows. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We use service providers to run our website, quote builder and sales process. They handle your information only to provide their services to us.

  • HubSpot, our CRM customer system, which stores your contact details and enquiries: Australia
  • Cin7, our invoicing and inventory system, which stores your contact details, sales history: Australia
  • Supabase, which stores your saved builds and quotes: Australia (Sydney)
  • ClickSend, which sends our SMS messages: Australia
  • Resend, which sends quote emails: United States
  • Zapier, which passes details between HubSpot and ClickSend: United States
  • Shopify, which hosts our website and online store: United States
  • Cloudflare, which hosts our quote builder and checks that visitors aren't bots: servers worldwide
  • Google (Analytics and Ads), which measures website visits and advertising: United States
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which measures advertising: United States

Card payments through our online store are handled by Shopify and its payment providers, who have their own privacy policies.

We sometimes pass your enquiry to an authorised Davimac dealer so they can help you with pricing, a demonstration or a purchase.

We may also disclose your personal information if the law requires us to, or to a buyer of our business if Davimac is sold or merged.

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Australia, in the United States and on Cloudflare's worldwide network. We choose providers that protect personal information, and give them only what they need to provide their service.

Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies from:

  • HubSpot, to record which pages you visit on our website. If you give us your details, for example when you build a quote, this browsing history is linked to your enquiry so our sales team can see what you were interested in.
  • Google (Analytics and Ads), to measure how people use our website and how well our advertising works.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure how well our advertising works and to show our ads to people likely to be interested.
  • Shopify, to run our website and online store, for example to remember your cart.

When you build a quote or make an enquiry, we tell Google and Meta which machine you looked at and that you enquired. To match enquiries to the ads that led to them, Google, and Meta where enabled, also receive your email address or phone number in a scrambled (hashed) form, not as readable text.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google and Meta account settings. Our quote builder still works without these cookies, though we won't be able to link your website visits to your enquiry.

SMS and email

Every SMS we send identifies Davimac, and you can stop further messages by replying STOP. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing marketing@davimac.com.au.

Saved builds

When you build a quote, your browser keeps a link to it for 30 days so you can come back to it or configure another bin. The link in your quote email also expires after 30 days.

How long we keep it

Farm machinery is often bought years after a first enquiry, so we keep enquiry, quote and purchase records as part of your customer history for as long as they help us look after you, and as long as the law requires for tax and warranty records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below). We'll do so unless we need to keep it by law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need it to do their job, and our service providers use encryption and secure data centres. Card payments are processed by Shopify and its payment providers to PCI DSS standards; we don't store card numbers. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee the security of information you send us.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing admin@davimac.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for asking.

Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, contact our Privacy Compliance Officer (details below). We'll acknowledge your complaint within 10 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
